A letter from Apostle Thomas Brooks

I was born and raised in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. My mother came there in 1913 in a covered wagon from Sweetwater, Tex. My dad came there from Taloga, Oklahoma.

I had 3 brothers; all gone now and two sisters, one who is still alive in Marlow.

I was raised in the Assembly of God Church in Rush Springs; Oklahoma till I was 24 years old.

I started speaking when I was 15 years old in the ministry, preaching in youth revivals. I went and preached whenever the door was open during that youth of my life.

In 1970, I went into the US Air force and served for 4 years. I was assigned to Edwards Air Force Base in Calif for a year and then went to Danang, Viet Nam. I was stationed there for one year.

I came back to Altus Air Force and was there until I was discharged in 1974.

In 1976, I was sent to Bloomington, New Mexico to plant a Church. I arrived there and took a 12x50 foot trailer and we started having church services. I was there for 1.5 years and turned it over to another Pastor. It is still going, and a very nice large building is built on the site.

In 1978, I was sent to Bunch, Oklahoma to start a Cherokee Indian Mission church there. We took an old building and started having church. We had revivals there and many were saved and turned out. I turned that church over to a Pastor Name Blue Hothouse who spoke the language and He stayed there for 32 years. There is a beautiful church there on the highway now. It has a school from the 1st grade to the 12th grade. God is so good.

I left there and went to Ardmore, Oklahoma and opened a church in the east side of town. We took an old church buildin, opened it and started having church. God moved in a great way there for almost 2 years. When I left there, A lady pastor named Betty Chester took it. She just retired 3 weeks ago. Was there from 1979 to 2018. I guess I did something right.

I took a leave from ministry for a few years and just worked. Preached when a door was open. In 1983 I went to Eldorado, Oklahoma and opened a church there. We built a building from used wood and worked hard. No AC and windows open in the summer. But God had a plan there. When I left, two sisters took the church and were the pastors for 27 years. It is still going strong and many souls have been saved at all these churches.

In 1985 I went to Helena, Montana to start a church. We arrived there in Sept. and found us a place to live. We waited for about 5 months before doors was opened to start. We started in a trailer park meeting haul.

The first Sunday we had 14 people. Within 6 months we were running over 100 people and had to move to a different building. With in 1 years we were running over 250 people and had rented a large building to start having church in. God was so good there. We started a school and had 30 students. Now there are two churches there in Helena, that was started from the one church.

I came back to Oklahoma after 2.5 years there, and started a company in Duncan, Oklahoma called 4 D Corp. We ground car and truck tires up. That company is still going. But I left the corp. and started another company in Sulphur, Oklahoma called GR 8 Recycled Rubber Products. We make horse mats from ground tires. I built 3 plants and sold them from that one.

I then went and took a church back in Ardmore, Oklahoma and was pastor there for over 2.5 years. My wife died there of Cancer. I owned a farm in Ada, Oklahoma and after 6 months of her passing I resigned and moved back to the farm. I went back to college and got a degree in Computer Networking. I also took 1.5 years with Liberty University working on my Bachelors. And two years ago, obtained my Doc of Theology from Missionary chapel and Seminary.

I Filled in for 6 months in a little Baptist church at Horn Town Oklahoma. After that I took a Baptist Church in Holdenville, Oklahoma Called Pen West Baptist. Was Pastor there for two years.

I have worked at other jobs through out my ministry. I have built three companies and sold them. I have always worked for the Lord first and foremost.

I now have a College in Kenya, Africa and Uganda Africa. We have just over 200 pastors attending the school. God started this 2 years ago. We do not charge them to go to school and we furnished their text books. I have a director in each country and they oversee the schools. We have the books printed now in three different languages God has really blessed this and it keeps growing.

I retired about 5 years ago. I thought God was through with me. I hate retirement. I have always been a goal setter and planter pioneer. God began to deal with me about the Cross-Brand Church about 1.5 years ago. I feel God is wanting us to work some way with the church. If it is pastor, then so be it. If it is just to attend and help, then so be it. I am here and ready to serve the church families.
